What I mean is whether dating apps, by giving people constant access to new options, are undermining long-term monogamy. When someone can always swipe and see “someone better,” it seems harder to fully commit. For example, people staying on dating apps while in relationships, keeping matches as backups, or breaking up quickly because they think they can replace their partner in a week.

What do you guys think?

Couldn't agree more. But if you really think about it monogamy started to fade as soon as people started having liberal opinions. Back then people found someone and stick to them for the rest of their lives, nowadays people say they need to "experiment"(genuinely fuck you if you think like this).that just got even worse cause of social media

I agree. Liberalism basically turned commitment into something people see as a limitation instead of a responsibility. Dating apps and social media just made it worse, you’re always told to keep your options open, chase something new, and dip as soon as things get uncomfortable. Monogamy doesn’t really stand a chance in a culture that treats permanence like a bad thing.
