I have a dental misalignment, when I clench down my jaw gets guided wrong so I get a jaw asymmetry only when clenching but it still annoys me. But I don't have separation or over crowding so the dentist may advise against braces. What do I do?

I'm in a tough spot where if the correction is mainly for aesthetic reasons my parents will most likely decide against it since I'm a minor that would be an issue.
