DISCLAMER: remember this is just a theory that is stupid I’m sure there are much better ways to get lean this is just for lazy bums that are too mentally weak to properly lose weight.

When you catch a cold people might look less bloated and I’m talking from experience as I just was and that’s what made me do this.

Reduced bloating:
If you aren’t eating as much, especially carbs or salty foods, your body stores less glycogen, and each gram of glycogen normally holds about 3–4 g of water.
So losing glycogen = losing water = looking a bit leaner.

Appetite drop:
Most people eat less when sick. Even 1–2 days of reduced intake can make the stomach flatter, making the person look thinner.

Other differences:
When you’re sick:
  • Your jaw muscles may relax
  • Your face may look tired or drawn
  • Eye shadows make cheeks look slimmer
This gives the impression of more pronounced cheekbones or a thinner face.

When you’re not eating much, especially carbs, muscles hold less water and glycogen, so they look less full. This gives a “skinnier” look even without fat loss.
