Fuck that sounded gay, anyways
this all started a few months ago, completely outta nowhere. me and this girl were just school besties, nothing crazy, we’d joke around, talk in class, normal stuff. and then one day she just starts getting… touchy. like she’d draw on my arm with pen, poke me, tap my shoulder for no reason, lean on me during breaks. and at first i was like ok maybe she’s just in a friendly mood, whatever
but then it kept stacking. she’d sit way closer than before, like knees touching, shoulder brushing mine. she’d laugh at literally anything i said. and then she hits me with that question out of nowhere
“who do you think is the best looking girl in our class?”
and i’m like alr nga what’s this interrogation. so i just name some random foid to not make it weird. and then i ask her the same thing but about boys, and she doesn’t even think. she just goes “you.” like it was the most obvious answer ever
and after that she kept giving even more signs whenever i tried to get closer to her. she’d lean into me when i talked, run her hand through my hair sometimes, play with my sleeve, look at me way too long for it to be friendly. literally all the stuff you’re supposed to take as green lights. This was going for weeks
so eventually i’m like ok i’m not imagining this. i actually tell her how i feel, just straight up, nothing dramatic
and bro she rejects me immediately
not even a soft one, just “i don’t want to ruin our friendship” like the classic copy pasted excuse straight from the foid handbook.
and the funniest part is it wasn’t even the rejection that hit, it was the whiplash. all those signs, all that touchiness, all that energy and then suddenly she acts like it meant nothing and i was crazy for thinking otherwise
and yeah that was a few months ago, still weird to think about because she literally speedran the “give signs then dip” arc like it was a daily quest
