im turning 16 in june and i was contemplating signing up for the army, im just not sure of what role i'd want to go for

ofc i'd want something with good pay but i was contemplating royal marines, but then again theres cybersec and also stuff in IT which im good with

what do you guys reckon?

well back like a year ago the army visited my school and they put on some activities that they would most likely do during duty such as minefields, running laps with a full bergen rucksack, even tasting some of the MREs and their stories were mostly about shit like "i was in qatar during the world cup, the army gave us free tickets since we were there operating anti air"

from what ive heard personally from active duty soldiers, it doesnt sound the worst if there isnt a conflict going on

army shouldnt be a first choice for many people, if thats what you TRULY want to do then go for it but if you have other interests like IT I would adivse you to study at an actual post secondary educational institute, maybe a military college if you really want.

Problem with the army is after you get out... what do you do??? I say get a degree and then think about joining if you still want
