no, using long and complex words doesn’t make you look smart. If anything being able to communicate clearly to everyone without having to rely on uncommon words that arent used day to day is what’s actually impressive, not just being able to memorise random words
Real. Whenever I'm talking to an ethnic or I'm in the south I use simple words just in case english is their second language. When I read books that are with complicated words it usually becomes less interesting to me anyways
