In a study done in 2019 it showed that men overrates what women think is the ideal.
In the study both men and women (white and european) were asked what body they would see for their partner in a long term relationship and a short term relationship. They were also asked what themself think the opposite sex wants the body to look like.
The results show that women overrates what they think men wants their women to look like and viseversa with men.
