When discussing physical attractiveness, it’s important to be honest about the distinction between appeal and PSL. Individuals with very pronounced or high-density bone structure often attract attention—from both men and women—because strong facial features naturally stand out. However, attention does not necessarily equal appeal.

Appeal is a broader, more balanced form of attractiveness. Someone with extremely sharp or exaggerated bone structure may receive a strong visual response, but that doesn’t guarantee they are universally perceived as attractive. In fact, it’s entirely possible for a person with exceptionally high bone density to look quite harsh or even unattractive, while someone with more moderate bone structure but strong overall appeal can be considered far more attractive.

This isn’t to say that people with high appeal lack good bone structure; they typically have harmonious features. The key difference is that their bone structure isn’t overwhelmingly extreme—it supports their appearance rather than overpowering it. Ultimately, appeal tends to outweigh raw bone density when it comes to how attractive someone is perceived to be.
