I feel like it should normally be the other way around because bonding with people from school is a forced natural social behavior where you take the best you can get from a very small pool (mostly your class, less often the whole grade) while the pool for out-of-school friends is far bigger and you have no pressure to choose the first best people you find.

However school is a set (and often high) amount of time daily through which you get even closer to those friends every day

For me my out of school (esp online) friends are more real/ I can be more real with them but tbf Ive never been a very socialized guy

I’d say out of school freinds are better because you aren’t forced to socialize with them meaning you choose them I moved schools a while ago since I moved houses and I’d say I like going to parties or hanging out with my freinds who don’t go to the same school as me I’m not uber social tho
