I’ve done swimming for about 3–4 years, and I’ve never seen anyone with shit collarbones. Is there any reason for this?

I started with a shit bidelt and now I’d say I have a pretty decent one. I know it’s obviously puberty, but most people start swimming at around 10–12

lots of kids start swimming when young, the ones with wide clavicles make it pro because they have an advantage. Essentially survivorship bias. Also stop forcing your frame

so basically only kids w genetically wider clavicles become swimmers therefore making everyone assume swimming = increase in clavicular length?

There’s no correlation, the only reason you see swimmers with wide bidelts is that having wide clavicles will give you an advantage. Swimming in water isn’t gonna change your skeleton jfl
