I’ve decided to resign from my position as head moderator and leave this forum, as I’ve grown increasingly disheartened with how it’s being managed. The administration’s policies, in my view, are deeply flawed, and the leadership seems increasingly disconnected from the community itself. There’s a tendency to rely on buzzwords like “free speech” instead of implementing thoughtful, grounded policies that actually serve the forum’s growth. If this continues, I fear the forum will eventually decline into just another disorganized space like .org.

When I first joined, I genuinely hoped to help shape this community into an evidence-based, high-level environment within the looksmaxing sphere. My intention was to encourage intelligent discussion and the exchange of serious methods that could elevate the overall quality of the forum. Unfortunately, that vision has met resistance time and again. My proposals to improve the discourse and structure have often been ignored or dismissed, replaced by vague rhetoric rather than meaningful reform. After numerous attempts, I have come to accept that meaningful progress is unlikely under the current approach.

I no longer wish to spend my intellect, time and energy on something that's clearly becoming a sinking ship.. While I appreciate some of the individuals I have met here, I find much of the broader environment increasingly frustrating and unproductive. Remaining as a moderator would only detract from the focus and energy I would rather invest elsewhere.

After stepping away for just a day and deleting my saved password, I quickly realized how much more productive and at peace I felt without this forum in my life. I only logged back in after accidentally finding my old password in a forgotten file, just to give a proper farewell.

Despite everything, this community has been a meaningful part of my life. I’ll remember the ridiculous inside jokes, the dictator warlord RP for shits n giggles, banning morons, the endless debates, and even the hectic moderation moments. I learned a lot here, met some interesting people I never would have otherwise, and for a time, genuinely enjoyed being part of this odd little corner of the internet. It was fun while it lasted.

I’ll be honest, I respect what you’re doing here. You’re clearly a tech-minded person who enjoys building and experimenting, and it really shows in the effort you’ve put into making this forum stand out. The interface, the live messages, the reactions; all of it reflects creativity and dedication. It’s genuinely impressive.
Your approach to running the forum with an emphasis on free speech and open discussion isn’t something I agree with. Honestly, I think it’s kind of misguided and retarded. But I can still see where you’re coming from, even if I personally dislike the outcome. It’s simply not the direction I believe in. I’ve always preferred a more structured, evidence-based, and moderated environment to maintain quality. Both perspectives have their strengths, but they don’t really work well together.
Even though I don’t agree with your philosophy, I hold no resentment. You’re following your own vision, and I can respect that. I just don’t see myself fitting into it anymore. Still, I genuinely wish you the best with wherever you take the forum next, and I hope it turns out the way you imagine.

You were actually the first person who really welcomed me here. I still remember calling someone out on their nonsense early on, and you said it was nice to finally see a smart user join after the whole TikTok wave. At first, I honestly thought you were kind of a midwit, but over time I realized you’re genuinely sharp, and I’ve come to respect your intellect, philosophy, and values a lot. You’ve been my closest friend in the looksmaxxing sphere and honestly, probably on the internet as a whole over the past 3 years.
You’re someone I can consistently rely on to reason through complex ideas, exchange thoughtful perspectives, and offer intelligent input on nearly any topic. Our discussions have sharpened my thinking, and I genuinely value the depth of understanding we share. Hope we can stay in touch.

You’re kinda like a younger brother to me, smart, quick-witted, and full of potential, even if not always wise, jfl. Interacting with you was always refreshing, and I think you have potential in whatever you choose to do in life. Wishing you good luck in whatever you decide to pursue.

@Synapse syna You’ve got real potential, and I’ve always appreciated that we see eye to eye on most things. You care about truth and about looksmaxxing more seriously than almost anyone here. You were the best mod I could’ve chosen and a great ally in fighting misinformation and retards around the forum. If we’d met earlier, I’m sure we could’ve built some amazing collab threads together.

@Dexter Dexter You’re also a knowledgeable guy who was a part of my friend group.

Nardicus102 Nardicus102 You were one of the few people on this forum who I could genuinely learn from. Very knowledgeable and likable guy.

I’ve removed my password and this will be my final login. I’ll be stepping away from the looksmaxxing space altogether, since I’ve already learned most of what I could from it over the past few years. It’s been a fun journey.

That’s all I wanted to say. Chapter closed.

Thanks for everything,

Sad day for the forum. Though, probably the start of an upwards trend in your life considering your time will be spent more productively

I appreciate your kind words & perspective on me; I'd also wager you've been one of the closest freinds I've had on the Internet, it's nice to have genuine opportunity for high-level discussion that's not just retarded discourse, or borderline echo chamber adjacent convos, despite the fact we see eye-to-eye on many topics.

I can confidently say you're easily the best individual I've met in the LM sphere so far, and i doubt that'll change. It's ridiculously rare to find people such as yourself, even moreso on forums like this.

Alas, i hope the new directions you take on this web lead you to far better destinations, and that we'll hopefully stay in touch. Goodbye

Thanks for everything,
Godveil Heir

Thanks for everything,
Godveil Heir
