Most of us ALL of us treat sleep like it’s optional, staying up late to get more out of the day. But by underestimating the power of sleeping, we fuck everything up for us.

“Why do i need sleep when i can be on the game with the boys all night?”
━━━━━━━━━━
No shut up, that’s retarded. Everybody has heard of the blue light that comes from screens and shit right? well, its true that it’s bad for you. The blue light coming from screens trick your stupid pea sized brain into thinking it’s daytime, and when your brain thinks it’s daytime it suppresses
Melatonin which is the hormone that makes you sleepy.

“Okay then. How do i get myself to produce more melatonin then?”
━━━━━━━━━━
1. Less screen time

(At night)
Blue screen light during the day is good for you bcuz it tells ya brain that it’s time to be active. Since blue screen light reduces Melatonin production a lot you won’t fall into a deep sleep in the middle of the day. But, when it is time for you to sleep, blue screen light will not allow you to fall asleep. This is because blue screen light rapes Melatonin production.

2. Eat foods rich in melatonin
List of foods that have Melatonin. Best to worst.
1. Pistachios (25-30)
2. Walnuts (10-15)
3. Almonds (20-25)
4. Fish - Sardines, Salmon, and Trout
5. Eggs (1-3)
6. Milk (240 mL)
Make sure milk warm so it feels good inside your tummy🤤🤤🤤

3. Synthetic way to get melatonin
There are other ways to boost Melatonin production that aren’t natural. Sometimes producing less Melatonin than others is a genetic thing, and it’s okay. You are special baby.

Light is detected by the retina, and the signals get sent to the SCN (suprachiasmatic nucleus). Think of the SCN as the body’s clock. The SCN then sends signals through the nervous system to the pineal gland, controlling Melatonin production. Darkness increases Melatonin production, while light suppresses it.
