it's case dependent to be fair, I've increased mine by 15 degrees over the span of 1.5 years but i'd sum it up to luck and muscle tissue

masseters, though again it's very case dependent as I had to gain 13mm bigon width total (which can look pretty stupid depending on the gonial)
