Discussion Mods vs Newer users (8 Viewers)

First of all, I’m not trying to offend anybody, but I’ve noticed that a lot of new users have been banned by moderators less than a month after joining, or have had their threads deleted. I feel like there might be some miscommunication between the moderators expectations and the types of threads the newer user base is posting.

I know I just joined yesterday, but I think some respectful criticism could be helpful. As a possible solution, I think new users should be required to read the admin rules before being able to post anything. I’m not sure if that’s technically possible I’m not very knowledgeable about coding but I think it could greatly improve the condition of the forum.

Feature proposal: thread posting criteria for new accounts. Or, those with warnings stacked up.
A concise criteria of what's expected from users when making a thread is one of the most efficient ways to passively boost quality.


-Most users don't read the rules.

Yes, they'll lie when asked, but it shouldn't take a genius to find out no-one reads rules. Im sure anyone with prior discord server ownership knows this first-hand.
There's maybe a good 10-5% of users who'll actually read the rules before joining & commit themselves to abiding by them to their best abilities.
So, by adding a hard-to-miss criteria that appears during account creation & before posting a thread, you'd be significantly reducing the amount of people who don't grasp the basic rules. Which brings me onto my next point:


-Easier moderation.

By ensuring user's will find it almost impossible to miss the basic posting etiquette guidelines, it would substantially increase efficiency when dealing with low-effort posts. E.g., if a user has repeatedly opposed the criteria, a swift ban can be issued without any fuss. Now, recent moderation has proved far superior, but efficiency is a golden priority. TL;DR: Faster & reassured moderation


-Increase in quality.

Not all users are low-IQ, insolent half-wits who'll purposely worsen the environment. There are some, albeit few, who aren't familiar with a forum interface & genuinely want to improve their presence here. A brief, easy-to-understand list of what's expected will let them grasp the basics when first joining, and avoid unjust punishment, that may smear reputation. It also encourages them to learn how to make high-quality threads, instead of having them mald at mods when they're warned/banned.
Im fairly confident the aforementioned will noticeably increase quality on the forum & for this reason, bring it up.
